Fennec Fox
The fennec fox is a member of the canidae family, which includes foxes, wolves, dogs, coyotes and jackals. Weighing an average of 3.3 pounds, the fennec fox is one of the smallest canids. Despite its small size, it has very large ears, which helps it hear predators and prey.

Registration
Reservations are required for all programs. There is limited space in each program so please register early. A minimum number of registrants is required to run a program.
Winter Weather Policy
All education programs, including edZOOcation, camps, and overnights, will run as scheduled unless the Zoo has been closed by order of Onondaga County administration. Sorry, but no refunds or rain checks will be given for 'no-shows' for any reason.
Special Group Programs
Scout groups, Rotary, home school... if you belong to, or are active in any of these or other groups and would like to arrange a custom educational program on a specific topic, call the Zoo's education department (315) 435-8511 x206. We will work with your group to design a special program to meet your needs.
Fees, times and availability depend on the program content, duration and materials needed. When considering such a program, please plan at least 6 weeks in advance
