Cash, personal checks with valid ID, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

  • Children (age 3 to 15) - $4.00
  • Students (age 16 to 21 w/ID) - $4.50
  • Adults (age 16 to 61) - $6.50
  • Seniors (age 62+) - $4.50
  • Children 2 and under - Free

School Group Rates

(School Groups of 20 or more paying individuals with a prior reservation-

for K-12 only. One chaperone is required for every seven students.)

  • Children (3-15) - $1.25
  • Adult chaperones exceeding the required number- $5.25
  • Seniors - $3.75
  • Children 2 and under - Free

Visitor Amenities

Stroller Rentals:

Single strollers are $3

Double strollers are $5

Wheelchairs are available free of charge, however quantities are limited. 

Jungle Café Hours: The Zoo's restaurant is open from 10 a.m to 4:15 p.m. daily. Click here for the menu.

Pet Policy: Pets are not permitted on Zoo grounds, in the parking lot, or in cars.

Section 359, Article 26 of the Agriculture and Markets law states, "A person who carries or causes to be carried in or upon any vessel or vehicle or otherwise, any animal in a cruel manner is guilty of a misdemeanor," punishable by up to a year in jail or fine up to one thousand dollars, or both.

Do NOT leave any animal in your vehicle.  Should an animal be discovered in your vehicle, the proper authorities will be notified.

Guide Dog Policy: Fully-trained guide dogs that are on-duty are allowed in the Zoo with their owners.  Guide dogs must be identified as such.   Visitors requiring guide dogs are encouraged to call ahead.  Some of our animals perceive dogs as predators.  Due to animal welfare issues, certain parts of the Zoo may be off limits to visitors with guide dogs.  We are happy to provide an escort to take visitors though these areas.

Handicapped Visitor Assistance: Handicapped parking is available. Wheelchairs are available to use free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

Smoking Policy: The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is a tobacco-free Zoo. For the safety of our visitors and the animals, the Zoo does not permit smoking, or the use of any other tobacco products in Zoo buildings or on Zoo grounds.

The mission of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is to conserve, exhibit and interpret a living animal collection in order to promote public recreation, understanding of the relationship between animals and people, and action to sustain the environment we share.

From the North - take I-81 South to exit 23A (Hiawatha Blvd); Turn right on to Hiawatha Blvd; At stoplight at the end of road turn left ;  Follow Erie Blvd. straight & turn right on to Geddes St; Turn right onto Seymour St;  Right on to S. Wilbur;  Zoo will be ahead on your left. 

From the South - Take I-81 North to I-690 West. Take I-690 West to exit 10, Geddes Street. Turn left on to Geddes St. Turn right on to Seymour St. Turn right onto S. Wilbur Ave.  Zoo will be ahead on your left. 

 

From the East -take I-90 West to exit 36. Take I-81 South to exit 23A (Hiawatha Blvd); Turn right on to Hiawatha Blvd; At stoplight at the end of road turn left ;  Follow Erie Blvd. straight & turn right on to Geddes St; Turn right onto Seymour St;  Right on to S. Wilbur;  Zoo will be ahead on your left. 

From the West - take I-90 East to exit 39. Take I-690 East to Exit 8, Hiawatha Boulevard. Turn right off exit ramp; At stoplight at the end of road turn left ;  Follow Erie Blvd. straight & turn right on to Geddes St; Turn right onto Seymour St;  Right on to Wilbur;  Zoo will be ahead on your left.
