About Our Homepage

The background of our homepage is composed of red panda fur and reticulated python scales to give you an up close look and feel of the many different textures of the zoo.

To offer a new and exciting look for each visit to our home page, the following animal photos are inserted into the top right corner and are rotated whenever the home page is refreshed: golden lion tamarins, mandrill, Inca tern, fennec fox, slow loris, macaw, white-handed gibbons and an Amur tiger.

Creatures showcased on the home page include a red panda, a Northern lined seahorse, a blue surgeon, a Cayman Island ground iguana, a yellow banded poison dart frog and a hybrid macaw.

All of these fantastic animals can be seen on your trip to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo!

The original concept for the design of the homepage was drawn by Diane Towlson, Public Information Specialist at Onondaga County Parks.

Final design and implementation of the entire site and functionality was completed by Syracuse Design Group, LLC (315) 428-8707.
