Funds raised through our Adopt-an-Animal program support a variety of projects, including habitat improvements, animal enrichments, research and training.
Adopting an animal makes a unique gift. Surprise your mammals-in-law, reptile
relatives or furry friends with creativity and thoughtfulness. Perfect for any birthday, holiday, special occasion or commemoration. Give the perfect present to the person who has everything! Exhibit your compassionate and wild side!
Any creature at our zoo can be adopted at any level and gift packages can be personalized.
We feature a different animal in each of our adopt promotions for special Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas promotions, but you can adopt any animal at any time.
Adopt an Animal Program for Groups
A new program has also been designed for school groups, companies and scout troops!

Please note, all adopted animals remain in the care and custody of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo and no ownership rights are conferred. Should your adopted animal be removed from our collection, your sponsorship can be transferred to another animal for the remainder of the year. Due to their popularity, some animals may have multiple "parents".Depending on your level of support, you receive the benefits of a Family Reunion Picnic, web site recognition for your support, invitations to special zoo events and even special guided tours with the zoo and animal care staff.
