Evening Expedition
Are you a group leader looking to give your participants a memorable outing? Bring them to the zoo for an after-hours adventure! This guided learning experience features a zoo safari class with outreach animal visits and an after-hours tour of the Wildlife Trail and select indoor areas. The evening ends with a treat of milk and cookies! This program can be customized for specific patch/badge requirements, matched for school curricula or serve as a fun team bonding excursion.

Each program lasts approximately 3 hours and can begin any time after 4:30 p.m.
There is a 15-person minimum for the Evening Expedition. Please note, we require 1 paid chaperone for every 7 children. Anyone age 3 and up is considered a participant. Not recommended for youth under 5 years of age.
The cost is $25 per participant; with a minimum of 15 participants or $375. If there are less than 15 participants, you will still be charged the minimum of $375. A minimum 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. Total balance is due the day of the program, based on exact attendance.
Evening Expeditions are good for ages 5 and up.
Since the program is after hours, availability is extremely limited. Therefore, we request that each program is booked a minimum of four weeks in advance. We recommend that you reserve your program as soon as possible, as dates book quickly. Please email us and our coordinator with be in touch shortly!
The Education Department at the zoo has a collection of small animals that are specifically chosen for outreach programming. The types of animals we may use depends on the topic of the program and animal availability. Due to zoo protocol regarding animal care and scheduling, we are unable to make guarantees on which types of animals are used for a program. However, we will strive to use a variety of animals suitable for your group.
We can change or add additional food items, such as pizza, water and juice, for an additional charge. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
