One of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo’s most beloved family events is back with a safe, fun “kooky not spooky” daytime Halloween celebration. The zoo becomes a kid-friendly haunt with trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal encounters, keeper chats, games, activities and photo ops. Wear your costumes and bring your treat bags for this adorably awesome event!
October 9-10: Animals
October 16-17: Witches & Wizards
October 23-24: Super Hero
October 30-31: Your favorite costumes!
Download a social story that outlines the Zoo Boo experience before your arrival
Social stories help set expectations for the event in a simple text and visual format. They are usually designed to benefit individuals who are neurodivergent but can be beneficial to anyone wanting to know more about what to expect at an event.
Come dressed in costume an lend a helping hand at the zoo. You can help with a cemetery clue game, run a craft station, come dressed as a fortune teller, supervise games, be a mascot (penguin, frog or elephant), lead a dance party or hand out treats or bags. Whatever you choose it will be a howling good time!
Shifts are 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. or 12:30-4 p.m. Choose one or both!
